Answers to some of the questions we are asked on a regular basis

My furniture isn’t Multiyork, can you still recover it?

We specialise in making replacement loose covers for Multiyork furniture, however we can make covers for non-Multiyork furniture as part of our general upholstery service. You can find out more about our general upholstery service here.

I don’t know what model my Multiyork furniture is, how can I find out?

If you are unsure of what size and model furniture you have you can find out using the following methods:

A) If you still have a copy of your original Multiyork receipt or documents the model information will be on this.

B) Look at the labels. Each item has labels with model ID and size codes. To find them please follow these instructions:

  1. Remove the covers from one of the seat and back cushions (not all models had a back cushion, if yours doesn’t that is ok).
  2. On the cushion interior look for a label or a handwritten code.
  3. Email us a photograph of both labels along with a photograph of the item. Please ensure any label photos are clear and we can see the full item in any furniture photos, including arms, top and bottom. Send these photographs to sales@mysofacovers.com and we will be able to ID your furniture from there.

In some rare cases there are no labels or codes present, if this is the case for you please get in touch and we will advise the next steps.

 

Do you need me to measure my furniture?

No. We are able to obtain all the information we need as long as photos of the correct documents and/or labels are provided. In some rare cases we may require measurements for clarification but this is unusual.

 

Do you need me to send you my old covers?

We don’t require your old covers. Once we have confirmed your model using either the original documents or label ID’s we have everything we need to make your covers. You can keep your old covers on your sofa until your new ones have arrived.

 

What is your process, how does it work?

  1. REQUEST A QUOTATION

    – If you know what size and model your furniture items are, complete our online quotation form and you will receive an instant quotation for your replacement covers in a mid-range fabric. More information on what is regarded as a mid-range fabric and links to select fabric samples will be included in this quotation.

– If you do not know what size and model your furniture items are please send us photographs listed in the section above – ‘I don’t know what model my Multiyork furniture is, how can I find out?’. We will respond within 3-5 days with your quotation for your replacement covers in a mid-range fabric. More information on what is regarded as a mid-range fabric and links to select fabric samples will be included in this quotation.

  1. SELECT YOUR FABRICS

Using the links provided within your quotation look at the fabrics which our suppliers have to offer. Create a list to send to us via email of the fabrics you like, reply to your quotation with this list of fabrics. We will then order the samples for you free of charge and send them to you via post.
If you have specific requirements for your fabric, let us know and we can help you find something suitable.

  1. PLACE YOUR ORDER

Once you’ve received your physical samples and have decided on a fabric email us to let us know which one and confirm which items you would like recovered.

  1. PAY YOUR DEPOSIT

In order to get your fabric ordered and secure your spot in the production queue we asked for a 50% deposit to be paid upon order placement. The invoice will be sent to you via email using our accounting software Xero. You can choose whether to pay via debit card or credit card using the secure payment link or via bank transfer. Unfortunately we do not have the facilities to take payment over the phone. 

  1. COVER PRODUCTION

We will make your replacement covers in your chosen fabric, identical to your original Multiyork covers.

  1. PAY YOUR BALANCE

As soon as your covers have neared completion we will email you to organise a suitable delivery date and send over your invoice for the remaining 50% balance payment. The invoice will be sent to you via email using our accounting software Xero. You can choose whether to pay via debit card or credit card using the secure payment link or via bank transfer. Unfortunately we do not have the facilities to take payment over the phone.

How do I view and order fabric samples?

Information regarding how and where to view and order fabric samples will be included in your quotation.

 

Did some of your team used to work for Multiyork?

Yes! All of our production team and some of our sales team worked for Multiyork so you can be sure your covers are in expert hands.

 

Can you replace just the cushion covers?

We can. If it is just the cushion covers you require replacing, please email us a photograph of the labels attached to the cushion interiors and state that you would like a quotation for the cushion covers only. The correct email address is sales@mysofacovers.com.

 

Can you replace my cushions as well as the covers?

We can. In order to provide a quotation for your replacement interiors we would need to see photographs of the label attached to the cushion interiors you require replacing. We source cushion interiors from Multiyork’s original suppliers and so you will get a like for like replacement in most styles. Unfortunately some materials are no longer available but we will be able to advise better once we have seen your labels.

 

Are you able to source the same fabric used for my original Multiyork covers?

In rare cases yes but in most cases unfortunately not. Multiyork offered a range of thousands of fabrics, many of which were manufactured in house and have since been discontinued. If you know the make and name of the original fabric there is a small chance we may be able to track it down. Unfortunately it is impossible to identify any fabrics by eye but if you send us a photograph we may be able to find a suitable equivalent or similar match.

 

Will my covers come with arm caps?

Yes. All full replacement covers come with a set of arm caps included.

 

I only need replacement arm caps, can you do that?

Yes, please email us directly on sales@mysofacovers.com information about your model, size, a photograph of your furniture and state you require arm caps only. It is unlikely we will be able to source a fabric identical to your current covers however we should be able to find a good match. Do you offer a fitting service?

Yes, depending on where you are located. We are able to offer a fitting service to many locations in the UK at an additional cost. Please reply to your quotation stating you would like to know more about our fitting service and include your location.

How do I measure my curtains for made to measure curtains?

What style of made to measure curtains do you offer?

We offer a range of options including pencil pleat, double pinch pleat, triple pinch pleat, 40mm eyelet curtains, wave curtains and voile. For more information vist our page on curtains here.
